A map of Berlin galleries is superimposed on the City of London. What at first was a guide to esteemed Berlin galleries now leads to abandoned alleyways and backyards in East End, London. This area contains some of the worst poverty in Britain, but is undergoing rapid development as London competes to be the creative capital of Europe. All gallery maps look alike.
Representing openhagen Eva La Cour and I was invited to join the dialogue on collective practices at the Congress of Collectives. The talk took place at Flux Factory in Queens New York in February 2012. The discussion took off from openhagens particular experiences of (counter-) working in the urban space and most recently within the Danish university system.
